Qatar Handball Team Dominates Kuwait in Gulf Games

Doha: Qatar handball team secured a 34-19 win over Kuwait in their match at Duhail Sports Hall today, as part of the 4th Gulf Games Doha 2026.

According to Qatar News Agency, this victory marks Qatar's second consecutive win after defeating the UAE 28-20 in the first round. With these victories, Qatar's team now sits at the top of the standings with a total of 4 points.

Qatar's next challenge will be against Bahrain on Tuesday in their third match of the tournament. In another game played today, the Saudi Arabia team emerged victorious against the UAE with a 34-21 scoreline.

All participating handball teams are scheduled to take a rest day on Sunday before the competition resumes on Monday. The upcoming matches will see Bahrain facing Saudi Arabia and Kuwait meeting the UAE.

It is noteworthy that Qatar clinched the gold medal in the 3rd Gulf Games held in Kuwait in 2022.
