Doha: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Finance, has hosted the 9th discussion session to explore future prospects for economic and development integration among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The session is titled "The Role of the Private Sector in the Economic Diversification of the GCC Countries". According to Qatar News Agency, the session will continue for two days with the participation of representatives from the GCC countries. The discussion session addressed several working papers, including enhancing local content and the role of attracting pioneering companies in developing the innovation system. Additionally, a working paper on the role of the GCC private sector in implementing the GCC development visions was presented. The participants in the panel discussion exchanged views and ideas on the topics discussed, stressing the importance of joint cooperation in the future to achieve the proposed goals. They expressed their determination to continue economic developme nt and diversification. The discussion session is scheduled to continue on Tuesday, where the participants will discuss additional topics on the stage of future repercussions, extracting initiatives and projects, and monitoring recommendations and visions.
