Doha: The 48th conference of Arab Police and Security Chiefs concluded today after a two-day session held under the chairmanship of the State of Qatar, at the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC) in Tunis. The event was led by Assistant Director of Public Security Major General Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti and focused on pivotal topics affecting member states. According to Qatar News Agency, the conference agenda included discussions on cyber financial fraud crimes, a pressing concern for many nations in the region. Participants also reviewed recommendations from recent security sector chiefs' conferences and considered the outcomes of various committee meetings held under the General Secretariat throughout the current year. The conference served as a platform for sharing outstanding security practices from member states, fostering collaboration and learning. The General Secretariat is tasked with presenting the conference's recommendations to the forthcoming session of the Arab I nterior Ministers Council. These recommendations aim to enhance collective security efforts and address emerging threats in the region.
