Doha: Qatar national tennis team will participate in Asia/Oceania Group III of Davis Cup, which will be held in Jordan from September 13 to 18.

The team's delegation arrived in Amman, Jordan on Sunday and will hold a training camp until September 12.

Qatar's Squad includes Musa Shanan, Rashed Nawaf, Mashari Nawaf, and team Qatar captain Sultan Khalfan.

Asia/Oceania Group III will bring together Hong Kong, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pacific Oceania, Sri Lanka, Syria, Vietnam and Qatar

Three pools of three teams will contest the round-robin stage of the event. The top two teams in each pool will play-off, with the three winners earning promotion.

The bottom team in each pool will be relegated to Asia/Oceania Group IV.

On this occasion, Team Qatar star Musa Shanan said "The team is ready to take part in this edition of Davis Cup as the training camp with the Jordanian national team will help us tune up for the event."
