HE Engineer Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Energy, announced the change of the name of Qatar Petroleum to Qatar Energy.

HE said in a press conference held yesterday on this occasion: “At a major turning point in our history, we are pleased to announce that Qatar Petroleum has become today Qatar Energy. With a new logo and brand identity, “QatarEnergy will continue to deliver the cleaner energy that the world needs, and to play its role as an effective and essential partner to reach the best solutions in the current global transition to low carbon energy.”

He added: “This follows a historic evolution that saw Qatar Petroleum Company (QPC) transform into Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC), then becoming Qatar Petroleum (QP), some 20 years ago, and QatarEnergy (QE) today.”
