Doha: HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie has met a team from the TASMU platform of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to review progress on a new hazardous materials management system. The meeting discussed the latest developments in the project, which aims to strengthen oversight of hazardous substances and waste in the country, while streamlining procedures for relevant authorities and improving operational efficiency.
According to Qatar News Agency, the system is being developed in cooperation with the TASMU platform, which is a key driver of the Smart Qatar program. Officials said the platform provides advanced digital capabilities that facilitate data exchange across vital sectors, including transport, logistics, environment, healthcare, and sport, while maintaining high standards of data privacy and security.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to enhance digital governance and improve environmental monitoring systems in Qatar.
