Qatar University (QU) has ranked 224 globally according the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking 2022, to be on the verge of entering the list of the top 200 universities in the World.

The QS World University Rankings 2022 is compiled using six simple metrics, which include Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citations per faculty, International Faculty Ratio, and International Student Ratio.

QU has witnessed an upward curve in this classification since 2015, and annually, raising the University's ranking from 551-600 in that year to 224th place currently, which indicates the possibility of QU's entering the club of the top 200 international universities in the coming years.
