Qatari Newspapers Applaud Outcomes of Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo

Doha: Qatari newspapers focused on several key topics in their Thursday editorials, prominently featuring the Cabinet meeting led by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. The meeting celebrated the outcomes of the Extraordinary Arab Summit held in Cairo, with the participation of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers highlighted the Cabinet’s hope that the summit’s results would bolster the Arab stance against any plans to displace Palestinian citizens from their lands and support efforts to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip, lift the siege, and rebuild the region. The Cabinet also expressed optimism that the summit’s outcome would back Arab efforts toward achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.

The editorials also noted Qatar’s participation in the 108th session of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague, reaffirming its commitment to the elimination of chemical weapons and enhancing international security.

Al-Sharq newspaper emphasized Qatar’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and applauded the outcomes of the Cairo summit. The publication reiterated the Cabinet’s hopes for the summit to strengthen the Arab stance against displacement plans and support reconstruction efforts in Gaza. It also highlighted the goal of restoring all legitimate rights to Palestinians, including the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Watan newspaper echoed these sentiments, underscoring the importance of joint Arab action and coordination. The editorial expressed hope that the summit’s decisions would help Palestinians facing significant challenges and emphasized the necessity of regional solidarity.
