Qatari Newspapers Highlight State of Qatar’s Efforts in Regional Peace and Support for Lebanon

Doha: Qatari newspapers emphasized the State of Qatar's ongoing efforts to achieve regional peace, highlighting its communications and coordination with regional and international partners, including the United States, to resolve crises that affect regional stability. The newspapers also noted Qatar's supportive stance toward Lebanon and its consistent backing for Lebanese sovereignty and territorial integrity, as affirmed by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in his recent phone call with HE President of Lebanon, General Joseph Aoun.

According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers warned of escalating Israeli provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, describing them as a challenge to the feelings of more than a billion Muslims worldwide. They pointed to Qatar's strong condemnation of settlers storming Al-Aqsa Mosque and raising the Israeli occupation flag, calling it a violation of international law and a provocation to Muslims globally.

Al-Sharq newspaper highlighted Qatar's continuous communication with regional and international partners, including the United States, to resolve regional crises. It supports efforts led by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in talks between the United States and Iran to halt the war and ease tensions, enhancing security and stability in the Middle East.

The newspaper mentioned HH the Amir's communications with world leaders, including a call with HE President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon, affirming Qatar's support for Lebanon's sovereignty. The call also reviewed regional developments, particularly in Lebanon.

Al-Sharq also referred to a conversation between HH the Amir and Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on the impact of regional escalation on energy markets. Both leaders reaffirmed support for mediation efforts by Pakistan and emphasized the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz to enhance energy security.

Al-Arab newspaper affirmed Qatar's consistent support for Lebanon, focusing on stability and national institutions during crises. It noted Qatar's commitment to Lebanon's stability and development, providing economic and developmental assistance, including aid to the Lebanese army.

The paper highlighted Qatar's support in covering army salaries, providing fuel, and supplying vehicles to enhance the army's capabilities, emphasizing this support as key to Lebanon's security. Qatar has provided $434.248 million, benefiting over 1.5 million people through the Qatar Fund for Development.

In conclusion, Al-Arab stated that Qatar's commitment to Lebanon reflects deep-rooted fraternal ties. The guidance of Qatar's leadership continues to support Lebanese aspirations for dignity, security, and development.
