Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced the organization of working hours across the government health sector during the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday. This adjustment is part of the broader initiative to ensure that essential health services remain accessible during the festive period.
According to Qatar News Agency, the President of Pre-University Education at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF), Abeer Al Khalifa, emphasized the importance of prioritizing students' health and well-being, particularly during times that may induce anxiety and stress. In a related announcement, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) disclosed the operating hours for its services throughout the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
In the realm of higher education, Francisco Marmolejo, President of Higher Education and Education Advisor at Qatar Foundation, highlighted the innovative strategies adopted by Education City universities. These institutions have implemented various mechanisms to maintain student engagement in virtual learning environments. Marmolejo commended both faculty and students for their creativity in adapting to the current educational demands.
In parallel with educational and health initiatives, Qatar Charity successfully raised QAR 40 million during its '27th Night Challenge' campaign. The funds are earmarked for life-saving medical initiatives both locally and internationally. Furthermore, humanitarian efforts by Qatar have been pivotal in supporting Palestinians in the Gaza Strip amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 2023.
The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has also made significant strides in its humanitarian efforts, raising QR 167 million ($45.8m) through the "Qatar Stands as One" charity campaign. This initiative aims to support various humanitarian projects within Qatar, reflecting the nation's commitment to charitable causes and community support.
