QNA Initiates Media Editing and Monitoring Training Course

Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched a training course on media editing and monitoring, as part of QNA Training Center's 2026 training plan. Represented by Monitoring and Editing Expert at the agency Ricardo Youakim, the four-day course aims to develop participants' skills in professional media monitoring and content editing across various formats, while also enhancing their ability to transform monitoring outputs into professional media analyses that support decision-making.

According to Qatar News Agency, the course covers several key topics, including the concept of media monitoring and content types, as well as various monitoring sources, including TV monitoring and social media platform monitoring. It also covers trend tracking and hashtag analysis, in addition to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for data gathering, summarization, and analysis, along with the preparation of specialized reports tailored for decision-makers.

The course comes as part of QNA's efforts, through the "QNA Training Center," to develop national media competencies and keep pace with rapid developments in monitoring, analysis, and media content production, thereby enhancing the quality of media output.

In March 2023, QNA inaugurated the 'QNA Training Halls', outfitted with state-of-the-art training facilities, in line with its vision of bolstering the capabilities of media professionals and empowering them to keep up with the evolving media landscape.
