Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 3.86 points, or 0.04%, at the beginning of trading on Monday, reaching the level of 9906.30 points, compared to yesterday's closing. The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in Telecoms by 1.66%; Insurance by 0.32%; and Industrials by 0.25%. However, the index rose in four sectors: Transportation by 0.25%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.18%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.17%; and Real Estate by 0.09%. By 10:00 am, 15.114 million shares were traded in 1542 transactions valued QR 38.393 million. Source: Qatar News Agency
