Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) edged 0.08% lower at the start of trading on Monday, decreasing by 8.01 points to reach 10,615 points. According to Qatar News Agency, the decline in the QSE index was primarily influenced by downturns in five sectors. The Real Estate sector fell by 0.56%, Transportation by 0.29%, Industrials by 0.17%, Insurance by 0.07%, and Banks and Financial Services also by 0.07%. Conversely, the Telecoms sector experienced a rise of 0.20%, while Goods and Consumer Services increased by 0.16%. At approximately 10:00 am, trading activity included 27.183 million shares exchanged in 2,121 transactions, with a total value of QR 59.778 million.
