Doha: Qatar University (QU) has announced the commencement of online applications for its undergraduate programs for the Fall 2026 semester. The application process is now open to transfer students, second bachelor's degree students, new students, visiting students, and non-degree course students.
According to Qatar News Agency, applications for transfer and second bachelor's degree students will close on May 20, 2026, while new and visiting students can apply until June 24, 2026. This allows ample time for applicants to prepare and submit necessary documents within the stipulated timeline. Fatima Al Kawari, Director of Admissions at QU, stated that the university has streamlined its application procedures to facilitate the process for students.
Al Kawari highlighted that students from Qatari public secondary schools are exempt from submitting certificates due to an electronic integration system between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and QU, which allows automatic receipt of students' results. However, students from international and private schools in Qatar must provide original certified certificates by deadlines specified on QU's website. The website provides detailed requirements for international certificates, enabling students to prepare their documents in advance.
Applicants can monitor their application status online and receive real-time updates, with dedicated communication channels available to address inquiries during the application period. This reflects QU's commitment to ensuring a clear and smooth application process.
Applications are to be submitted through the QU online portal, with required documents uploaded electronically. Original documents must be delivered to the Student Affairs Building during official working hours. Al Kawari emphasized the importance of meeting deadlines and complete document submission to avoid disqualification.
Furthermore, QU offers scholarships to academically outstanding students, allowing them to pursue their education in a supportive environment. Scholarship applications can be submitted alongside admission applications, simplifying the process for students seeking financial assistance.
