Doha: Qatar University’s (QU) College of Sport Sciences (CSS) is setting new standards in sports education by combining academic excellence, advanced contextualized research, and integration with the sports industry. Dean of the College of Sport Sciences at QU Prof. Khalid Bibi reaffirmed the college’s commitment to advancing education and research in sports, aligning with Qatar’s National Vision 2030, stating, “At the College of Sport Sciences, our goal is to prepare future leaders in sports management, coaching, and research. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive and innovative education that not only meets the highest academic standards but also directly addresses the evolving needs of the sports industry in partnership with our stakeholders.” The Dean emphasized that the college seamlessly integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications, state-of-the-art teaching facilities, and cutting-edge research equipment ensuring graduates are well-prepared to contribute effectively to both local and
global sport sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, providing further details on academic offerings, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Monoem Haddad elaborated on two specialized undergraduate degree programs, noting, “Starting Fall 2025, we will offer two specialized bachelor’s programs: Bachelor of Science in Sport Coaching and Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. Each program is uniquely designed to address distinct areas of the sports industry.”
