Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi the possibility of reaching a diplomatic settlement to the escalation in the Middle East.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the two ministers discussed in detail the most difficult military and political crisis in the Middle East. They exchanged views on the prospects of transforming the conflict into a path of political and diplomatic settlement. This approach would be based on international law and consider the legitimate interests of all countries in the region.
