SANA Director-General, Eyad Wannous discussed with Prensa Latina (PL) President Luis Enrique Gonzalez means of strengthening media and technical cooperation.
That came during a meeting held at SANA building between the two parties.
The two sides agreed to prepare for a new comprehensive agreement on information, technical and substantive cooperation between the two agencies.
They touched upon the joint coordination to convey the reality of the aggression and challenges facing Syria and Cuba along with defending their common interests.
Wannous attached great importance to relying on modern media methods and promoting the use of multimedia in line with the times to respond to the Western propaganda targeting the two countries.
Wannous also called for diversification of content exchanged between the two agencies to cover various cultural and economic activities.
Gonzalez affirmed the commitment of the Prensa Latina agency to defend Syria in the face of the aggression it is being subjected to.
“The agency is present on the ground through its correspondents and many other Cuban journalists who visited Syria repeatedly during the years of war and conveyed the true picture of the events”, he went on to say, underlining that the Agency will spare no effort to enhance cooperation with the SANA.
The meeting was attended by the Cuban Ambassador in Damascus, Luis Mariano Fernandez Rodrigues.
