Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense announced Friday it had detected the launch of six ballistic missiles toward the Riyadh region, intercepting two of them.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry's official spokesperson, Major General Turki Al Malki, confirmed that two missiles were successfully intercepted, while the remaining four fell into the waters of the Arabian Gulf and uninhabited areas.
Earlier, the spokesperson had announced in separate statements the interception and destruction of 12 drones across the Riyadh and Eastern regions.
