Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced Monday evening the interception and destruction of nine drones.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry spokesperson, Major General Turki Al Maliki, stated that seven drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Eastern Province. Al Maliki further added that two additional drones were intercepted and destroyed in Al Kharj Governorate.

Earlier on Monday, the Saudi Ministry of Defense had reported the interception and destruction of eight drones in the Eastern Province.
