Doha: Sheikh Nasser bin Khalid Al-Thani has been elected as the President of the Qatar ESports Federation (QESF) for the upcoming term from 2024 to 2028. The election took place during the General Assembly meeting of QESF at the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), attended by members of the General Assembly and representatives from QOC. According to Qatar News Agency, the General Assembly also elected Mohammed Issa Mohammed Al Shuraim as the Secretary General. The Board of Directors for the new term will include Sheikha Abeer bint Nooh Al-Thani, Sheikh Turki bin Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani, Ali Abdullah Saad Rashid Al Kuwari, and Saleh Majed Saleh Mubarak Al Khalifa. During the meeting, the General Assembly members approved the minutes from the previous meeting and deliberated on several key topics including the QESF's financial budget report, the strategic map for 2023-2030, and the strategic plan for 2023-2026. They also reviewed the tasks and responsibilities of the QESF's Sports Affairs De partment and Marketing Department, as well as discussing mechanisms for implementing a project aimed at developing electronic sports among different age groups.
