Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, “The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, will deliver a speech before the United Nations General Assembly, next week.
Shtayyeh added at the beginning of the government session, held today, Monday, in the city of Ramallah, that the president will also participate in the meetings of the Group of 77 and China, held in Havana, Cuba.
The Prime Minister offered his deepest condolences and sincere feelings and sympathy to the sister Kingdom of Morocco, its king, government and people, for the lives and property they lost due to the violent earthquake that struck a number of regions and cities in Morocco.
He indicated that he sent a message of solidarity to his Moroccan counterpart, Aziz Akhannouch, in which he informed him of Palestine’s readiness to assist in whatever they deem appropriate, based on his sovereignty’s directives.
He noted that a team from the Palestinian Civil Defense is now in Morocco to assist.
He indicated that he will participate in the meeting of donor countries held in New York, where he will present to donors the amount of money deducted from Israel, and the government's financial needs. He will also present the progress that has been made in the reform plan it adopted last year, as well as the features of the Palestinian development plan for the next five years.
He will also participate in the international meeting on sustainable development goals and the progress the world has made in this regard
