Damascus, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Gordon military base in Somalia yesterday, which claimed the lives of several personnel from the sisterly UAE and Bahrain while they were performing training and rehabilitation tasks for the Somali Armed Forces. In a statement, the ministry extended its sincere condolences to the governments and peoples of the two brotherly countries, the UAE and Bahrain, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. The UAE Ministry of Defense announced the killing of 3 UAE Soldiers of the Armed Forces and a Bahraini officer, along with the injury of 2 others, after they were exposed to a terrorist act in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
