Damascus, Syria and Libya have discussed the mechanisms of boosting the effective and fruitful cooperation in trade and economic fields between the two countries. That came during a meeting Tuesday that brought together Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Mohsen Abdul Karim Ali and a Libyan parliamentary delegation headed by Yousef al-Agouri, Libyan Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs. Minister Ali pointed out to the basics of joint work between Syria and Libya that can lead to positive results for the economies of the two countries, stressing that there are real prospects for uplifting relations between the two countries. He underlined the need to organize and activate the joint work tracks through signing bilateral memos of understanding and holding exhibitions showcasing Syrian products of all kinds in Libya because of their comprehensive diversity, in addition to their high quality and good reputation they enjoy at the regional and international level. He stressed the importance of overcoming all obstacles to enhance the prospects of cooperation and joint work. For his part, Al-Agouri stressed keenness on enhancing cooperation with the Syrian side in all fields, particularly in trade exchange and coordinating visits and partnerships at all levels.
