Riyadh: The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced a temporary suspension of flights at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates as a precautionary measure.

According to Qatar News Agency, the authority emphasized that the measure is intended to ensure the safety of passengers and staff. They noted that any further updates will be announced as soon as they become available.

The suspension follows an announcement by Civil Defence teams that they had controlled a fire caused by damage to one of the fuel tanks near the airport. This incident resulted from a drone that targeted the airport, and competent authorities have begun addressing the situation.
