The Commander of the Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Qassem Muhammad Salih, arrived today, Tuesday, in the holy governorate of Karbala, to supervise in the field the protection of Arbaeen pilgrims (visitors).
A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated, "Lieutenant General Qassem Muhammad Salih arrived today in the holy governorate of Karbala."
The statement added, "This came to supervise in the field the distribution of units in charge of securing protection for pilgrims destined for the holy Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen Visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) within the axis of the Ministry of Defense."
