The death toll from Hurricane Daniel in Libya has risen to 25 cases

Medical sources announced today, Monday, that the number of victims of the hurricane that struck the cities of eastern Libya, since yesterday, Sunday, has risen to 25.

Libyan media said that Storm Daniel, coming from the Mediterranean, swept through eastern Libya, damaging a number of homes and roads, and killing 25 people.

Footage circulating on social media showed people standing on the roofs of their cars while seeking help after they were stranded due to the torrential rains that swept the cities of Benghazi, Sousse, Al-Bayda, Al-Marj and Derna.

The Libyan authorities declared a state of extreme emergency, closed schools and shops, and imposed a curfew with the hurricane's landfall on Sunday and Monday.
