Baghdad, The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced today, Monday that the number of its employees killed so far in the Gaza war has risen to 88 individuals.
The United Nations Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Martin Griffiths, the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Catherine Russell, and others, said in a joint statement: “The death toll among employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees UNRWA in Gaza rose to 88.
Yesterday, Sunday, UNRWA stated that it had lost communications with most of its employees working in the Gaza Strip, as a result of Israel cutting off communications, the Internet, and electricity.
