In a novel experience, the students will be able to conduct experiments closer to reality along with designing forms and showing them in an exciting way using the 3D virtual laboratory inaugurated by the education ministry on Wednesday.
Speaking to journalists, Education Minister, Darem Tabbaa, stressed the significant role of the laboratory in developing the plan of education transformation and enhancing the use of technology in implementing programs.
Tabbaa underlined that Syria is among the first states to develop the strategies of digital transformation and implement it in the blended learning platforms.
“Students in schools and universities altogether can get benefit of the virtual learning, thus successive generations can access these modern technologies” Tabbaa went on to say, adding that more advanced laboratory is being established using more artificial intelligence and robotics.
Director of the virtual laboratory and educational platforms, Mahmoud Hamed, stated that this lab is the first of its kind in the country depending on virtual and augmented reality (AR).
Hamed referred that it is possible to use metaverse technology and gather students from more than one governorate in a virtual room.
