The Higher Committee for Preparation for the National Press Day Celebrations completes its preparations to start implementing the curriculum for the celebrations

The Supreme Committee assigned by the Prime Minister to prepare for the celebrations of the Iraqi National Press Day held an expanded meeting today, headed by the President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Union of Arab Journalists Muayad Al-Lami, and the presence of all members of the committee, representatives of ministries and state departments and other official bodies.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the Journalists Syndicate, the committee hosted representatives from the ceremonies and ceremonies of the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate all procedures related to the festive activities organized by the Journalists Syndicate on the occasion of the (154) anniversary of the Iraqi National Press Day and to receive guests of Iraq to participate in the celebrations.

During the meeting, all preparations related to the celebrations were discussed, foremost of which was the central celebration that will be held on Saturday morning 6/17 at Al-Rashid Hotel.

During the meeting, the members of the Supreme Committee expressed their observations and suggestions in order to show these celebrations in line with the status of Iraq and the pivotal role that the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate occupies regionally, in the Arab world and internationally, as well as the honorable history of the Iraqi press family over more than a century and a half in keeping pace with all issues and events and played a prominent patriotic role during the battles Liberating Iraqi cities and lands from the terrorist gangs of ISIS, so that Iraq can enjoy security and stability.

It is noteworthy that the celebrations will start on the morning of Thursday, June 15, by receiving well-wishers on this occasion at the headquarters of the Journalists Syndicate, followed by the evening of the festival of the syndicate branches in the governorates, which will be held on the grounds of Al-Zawraa Park. The celebrations will continue until Saturday, when the central celebration will be held in the Al-Rashid Hotel.
