The Interior Ministry begins investigating the force holding the area in Al-Amiriya district of Baghdad

The Ministry of Interior began, on Tuesday, investigating the force holding the area in Al-Amiriya area in Baghdad. The ministry said in a statement: "While the Ministry of Interior seeks to enhance security and stability in all areas of the country, elements outside the law are trying to disturb security, the latest of which was the breach that occurred at 00: 20 on the first of October 2024 at Baghdad International Airport and the fall of two Katyusha rockets, the first in the garage of the Second Regiment of the Counter-Terrorism Service and the other in an abandoned yard inside the airport." The statement added: "The Ministry of Interior began investigating the force holding the area in Al-Amiriya area in Baghdad, from whose sector of responsibility the breach occurred, and the commander of the force was detained to find out the reasons and circumstances of this negligence in preserving the lives of citizens and public and private property."
