The Parliamentary Security And Defense Committee Reveals The Laws It Has That Will Be Enacted Soon

The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed the laws it has that will soon be enacted in Parliament.

Committee member MP Yasser Iskandar Witwit said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee is currently working on the laws for the National Security Service and the Intelligence Service, in order to complete them and submit them to the Presidency of the House of Representatives for the purpose of approving them soon.”

Regarding the spread of the drug scourge in the country, he explained that: “The anti-drug law must be amended and its penalties must be tightened, because the general situation is constantly evolving, and developments in events must be kept up with,” noting: “The fight against drugs is the responsibility and jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Interior, which pays attention to, especially this dangerous and important issue, which has reached an unbearable stage in the country.”
