The “From Gaza” program addressed the causes and repercussions of migration from the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the noticeable increase in migration waves in recent months. The month of August witnessed the migration of groups of young men, specifically from Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Residents of Al-Manshiya neighborhood in Beit Lahiya, in the north of the Strip, reported that immigrants have become large groups of young men, as the first group included more than twenty young people, followed by migrations of youth groups between 15-20 young people, and depending on the residents of the neighborhood, this year recorded the highest rate of migration outside the Strip; In search of job opportunities and a decent life for their future and the future of their children.
While the immigrants' families commented, in response to our question about the dangers of immigration, saying that their children escaped death after losing hope for a better tomorrow in Gaza, and some of them expressed their desire to join their son after he became a stranger in his homeland.
