Washington: US President Donald Trump said he had a “very good” phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Trump added on Truth Social that the hour-long call focused on the results of his previous call with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding efforts to stop the war in Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, Trump explained that the discussions aimed to coordinate positions between Moscow and Kyiv regarding their needs and requirements. He added that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz would provide an official statement detailing the points discussed during the call.

This is the first conversation between Trump and Zelenskyy since their disastrous White House meeting in February.
