Turkish President, Saudi Foreign Minister Discuss Boosting Cooperation

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Wednesday with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, who is visiting the Turkish capital, Ankara. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests and promotes security and stability in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, earlier in the day, the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council held a session in Ankara, co-chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Saudi counterpart. The council is a mechanism for cooperation and consultation established in 2016 and co-led by the foreign ministers of the two countries, with the aim of overseeing bilateral relations across all dimensions within an institutional framework.
