Mosul: Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Saturday that two police officers were killed and five of the Ministry's personnel were wounded after their operation premises had come under bombardment near Mosul in northern Iraq. According to Qatar News Agency, a Ministry's statement said that the first bombing killed the commander of the First Emergency Police Battalion and a Mosul police commissioner, while five personnel were injured in another shelling while they were hospitalizing their wounded fellow personnel. Iraq occasionally comes under attacks amid the escalation playing out in the region, with Iraqi interceptors reporting that they have shot down dozens of drones and ballistic missiles in the airspace since the eruption of this regional escalation.
