Qatar will take on South Korea on Friday, in their Group B opener of the U-17 AFC Asian Cup Thailand 2023.
Qatar seek to lift their second trophy after claiming the title in 1990.
Group B also includes the 2008 champions Iran and Afghanistan, who record their second-ever participation in the tournament.
This 19th edition brings together 16 teams. It will kick off on Thursday and run through July 2.
The top four teams will qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru from Nov. 10 to Dec. 2, 2023.
