UAE and Kurdistan Region Leaders Discuss Regional Security Amid Escalating Tensions

Abu dhabi: HH United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in a phone conversation with Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani to discuss the escalating military situation in the region and its implications for regional security and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, President Barzani condemned the attack on the UAE Consulate in Kurdistan, describing it as a violation of international norms and conventions that ensure the protection of diplomatic missions and personnel. He emphasized that this act is a serious escalation threatening the safety of diplomatic staff.

In a similar conversation, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke with Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. They discussed regional developments and their impact on international and regional security.

Prime Minister Barzani also condemned the attack on the UAE consulate, highlighting that it endangers diplomatic personnel and breaches international agreements designed to protect diplomatic missions.
