Abu dhabi: HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussed in a phone call today with Slovenian President Natasa Perc-Musar the evolving security situation in the region, particularly the escalating military conflict and its repercussions on regional and international peace and security, as well as its serious impact on international maritime security and the global economy.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the Slovenian President condemned the ongoing Iranian attacks against the UAE and other countries in the region, which target civilians, civilian infrastructure, and facilities. She stated that these attacks constitute a violation of the sovereignty of these countries, international laws and norms, and undermine regional security and stability.
The Slovenian President affirmed her support for all measures taken by the UAE to defend its security and stability and ensure the safety of its territories, citizens, and residents. Both sides emphasized the need for an immediate halt to military escalation and for prioritizing serious dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing the region's outstanding issues in a way that preserves its security and stability and spares it further tensions and crises.
