Doha: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with US President Donald Trump the latest Middle East developments, on Tuesday. The phone talks covered efforts to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and maintain regional stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, the UAE President stressed the importance of providing the necessary humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza amid the difficult humanitarian situation there. He also emphasized supporting the two-state solution as the basis for achieving comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in the region.

The discussions between the two leaders also included the strategic relations between the UAE and the US. They explored efforts to strengthen these relations in all fields and addressed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
