Ukraine Affirms Support for GCC States Against Iranian Attacks

Ukraine: Ukraine affirmed its support for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states against Iranian attacks, stressing the need for an immediate halt to Iranian military actions against GCC countries and a cessation of all forms of escalation.

According to Qatar News Agency, this affirmation came during a phone call received Monday by Secretary General of the GCC, Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha. The conversation highlighted Ukraine's backing of the GCC states in light of recent hostilities attributed to Iran.

The Secretary General commended Ukraine's efforts in sponsoring and supporting the historic UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which condemned the Iranian attacks on GCC states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This resolution marks a significant diplomatic step in addressing the tensions in the region and underscores the international community's stance against such aggression.

During the call, both parties also discussed ways to strengthen GCC-Ukrainian relations in a manner that serves common interests. This dialogue reflects a mutual desire to collaborate on various fronts, ensuring stability and cooperation between Ukraine and the GCC countries.
