Doha: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the recent attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric stated that these attacks by settlers have become increasingly severe, occurring almost daily and resulting in death, injuries, extensive property damage, and displacement, sometimes affecting entire communities.

The spokesman reiterated the Secretary-General's assertion that Israeli settlements and their associated infrastructure have no legal legitimacy and constitute a violation of international law, including relevant UN resolutions.

The UN Secretary-General called for an urgent de-escalation of the alarming situation in the West Bank and an end to attacks on civilians and their property.
