Director of the United Nations Development Programme, Auke Lootsma, confirmed that combating corruption is an important issue in Iraq and is linked to law, government and development. Lootsma said during the conference to launch and publish the first report on the trial program for the period from August 2022 to July 2023: It is not possible to work alone in this program, which is concerned with arbitration and combating corruption, without the cooperation of the judiciary and the European Union. Lootsma pointed out that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirms that corruption affects the country's development in all fields, and he is committed to combating corruption and development. He said: We focus on digital transformation, enhancing electronic governance, and special activities in the field of combating corruption and money laundering.
