UNESCO Rebuilds 90 Destroyed Heritage And Historical Houses In Old Mosul

The Governor of Nineveh, Najm Al-Jubouri, announced that UNESCO has begun rebuilding the destroyed heritage and historical houses inside Old Mosul.

Al-Jubouri told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "UNESCO has begun to rebuild about 90 heritage houses as part of the plan for the reconstruction of historical heritage houses in Old Mosul."

He added, "This reconstruction campaign is part of the second campaign after UNESCO recently completed the reconstruction of about 50 destroyed heritage houses during the bombing of Al-Hadbaa minaret by the terrorist gangs of ISIS, which affected more than 200 historical and heritage houses in the Old Mosul area." Indicating that "the period of reconstruction of the heritage houses will take approximately (eight) months."
