Youth Minister receives UNDP Acting Resident Representative

Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received Firas Gharaibeh, the Acting Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)

The minister affirmed that the ministry is keen on continuously developing cooperation with UN organizations to implement initiatives for Bahraini youth, in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, on enhancing partnerships with various sectors to develop Bahraini youth skills.

She reviewed the ministry's programme for youth in Bahrain, and highlighted the results of joint programmes with UN and their positive outcome.

The meeting discussed launching further joint programmes and initiatives.

The minister affirmed the importance of the partnership between the ministry and UNDP and enhancing cooperation to achieve common goals in supporting youth.

Gharaibeh praised the development of the youth sector in the kingdom, praising the high calibre of Bahraini youth and their achievements in various fields.

He affirmed the importance of cooperation between the two sides in implementing more joint youth programmes that develop Bahraini youth and provide them with skills and expertise in different areas.
