Doha: The 12th edition of the 'Arabian Woman Exhibition' commenced at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) on Saturday. The event, sponsored by the Qatari Businesswomen Forum (QBWF), will continue until Friday, January 31, and features 200 booths from both local and international exhibitors. It showcases the work of more than 140 prominent female entrepreneurs from Qatar, GCC countries, Turkiye, and Lebanon.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar Chamber board member and Chairperson of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum, Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani, emphasized the exhibition's success over the years in terms of organization and the quality of exhibitors and products. She stated that the event has evolved into a crucial platform for Qatari designers and their counterparts from other regions to present their latest innovations in fashion and garments.
Al Ahmadani urged the participating businesswomen to foster cooperation for the advancement of the industry. She highlighted that the exhibition, now in its twelfth consecutive session, serves as a significant venue for showcasing women's achievements and exchanging experiences in design and innovation.
She reiterated the QBWF's dedication to empowering women as a key element of sustainable development, showcasing how Arab women contribute effectively to societal and economic growth. Al Ahmadani underlined the importance of supporting initiatives that enhance women's participation in various sectors, aligning with Qatar's National Vision 2030.
She further stressed the need to boost Arab women's presence in business and investment, encouraging entrepreneurship and engagement in small and medium-sized enterprises, which are critical to the economies of the developed world.
QC board member praised the Arabian Women Exhibition as an excellent opportunity for experience exchange and inspiration, offering success stories that motivate future generations.
Tamader Al Marri, director of Vogue Event Company, the exhibition's organizer, noted the significant development of the event through its previous editions. She highlighted its benefits for Qatari female designers and entrepreneurs, noting Qatar's growing status as a hub for major exhibitions and events. She mentioned that this edition showcases the latest designs in fashion and accessories, with a focus on items related to Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
