Two Palestinians were martyred, and several others were injured Monday in an Israeli airstrike on northwest Gaza City, as the occupation continues its intense siege on the northern Gaza Strip for the 17th consecutive day amid escalating ethnic cleansing crimes. According to Palestinian news agency (WAFA), the Israeli artillery shelled civilian homes in the Safatawi area, northwest Gaza City, killing two Palestinians. Successive explosions shook Gaza City in parallel with intense overflights of Israeli warplanes and drones, WAFA added. Additionally, the Israeli army demolished several residential buildings west of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip. The Israeli artillery also heavily shelled multiple areas northwest of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. The Israeli occupation forces continue their assault on the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air, since Oct. 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 42,603 citizens and the injury of 99,795 others, most of them women and children. These are not f inal figures, as thousands remain missing under the rubble. Source: Qatar News Agency
