DOHA - With attendance of H.E the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Secretary General, Jassim Bin Rashid Al Buenain, the technical preparations and exercises of the Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament and Festival of accompanying games continued on Wednesday under the patronage of the H.E Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, which will run from 3rd to 19th of April at the Lusail Shooting Range.

In statement on Wednesday, Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Tamimi, the tournament Director and Assistant Secretary General of the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association said the exercises of Shotgun, Rifle, Pistol and Archery are seeing a big turnout from men, women, and children.

“ Our shooting range , restaurants and Cafes remain open for all age groups to enjoy their amazing time in this Ramadan Heritage Gathering” added Al Tamimi.

From his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Thani, Head of the technical committee has lauded the big turnout from participants, whose number exceed 300 competitor in the amateur event (18 years and above) and the professional event (opened for all).

“ There is a special office that collecting the results of the competitors in the exercises and the official competitions , which will get underway on the 10th of Ramadan” Added Sheikh Mohammed.

Most notably , this tournament aims to discover the most talented elements of the game , develop their skills and helping clubs and national teams to achieve quantum leap in the game , as well as to promote this sport among citizens and residents whose rate of participation in the game rises sharply year after another.
