Al Nasser and Al Shaqab Gold Colt Champions
Al Hajri lands Gold Stallion title
The curtain came down on the 24th Qatar National Arabian Horse Show on Saturday, 20 November, evening at the Longines Indoor Arena of Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation – where the four-day show was organised by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC). The final day was kept for the toughest competitions with six finals for championships taking place. Horses boasted their striking beauty, elegance and strong structure to mention but a few of the very special characteristics of these gems, known as Purebred Arabians. It was pure glamour for the audience as they beheld the beauty of yearling fillies, yearling colts, junior fillies, junior colts, mares and stallions contesting for gold, silver and bronze.
WADEEAH AL SHAHANIA Gold Yearling Filly Champion
Al Shahania Stud’s WADEEAH AL SHAHANIA was awarded the Gold Yearling Filly Champion title, while Al Jumail Stud’s AFRODITE took the Silver medal. Ebrahim Yusuf Al Romaih’s MAALY was adjudged the Bronze champion. Majid Nasser Al Kaabi, Director of QREC Horse Shows, presented the trophies to the winners.
AREEB AL NASSER Gold Yearling Colt Champion
Al Nasser Stud’s AREEB AL NASSER was declared the Gold Yearling Colt Champion, while Al Shahania Stud won both the silver and the gold medals through NAEEF AL SHAHANIA and ZAHER AL SHAHANIA respectively. His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Ali Al Thani, owner of Mudhar Stud, awarded the trophies to the winners.
SULTANAH AL SHAHANIA Gold Junior Filly Champion
Al Shahania Stud’s SULTANAH AL SHAHANIA won the Gold Junior Filly Champion title while the Al Shaqab, member of QF, owned FALAK AL SHAQAB clinched the Silver medal ahead of Al Jumail Stud’s D SHAFAH, who took the Bronze title. His Excellency Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani presented the trophies to the winners.
RADHEE AL SHAQAB Gold Junior Colt Champion
The Al Shaqab, member of QF, owned RADHEE AL SHAQAB clinched the title of the Gold Junior Colt Champion while Mai Ahmad Saad Al Boinin’s SULTAN AL KHOR was the silver champion and Al Sraiya Stud’s GAZWAN AL SRAIYA was adjudged the bronze champion. Mohammed Mubarak Al Sulaiti, owner of Al Mubarak Stud, presented the trophies to the winners.
NADA AL SHAHANIA Gold Mare Champion
Al Shahania Stud’s NADA AL SHAHANIA claimed the Mare Championship title ahead of SAFIAT AL SHAQAB, who is owned by Al Shaqab, member of QF. Al Nasser Stud’s HATTAN AL NASSER finished third to take the bronze title. Abdulla Khalifa Al Kuwari, owner of AK Arabian Stud, presented the trophies to the winners.
MANSOUR AL KHOR Gold Stallion Champion
The Stallion Championship saw Fahad Rashid Al Hajiri’s MANSOUR AL KHOR take the Gold Medal while Al Jumail Stud’s BADIEA AL NASSER took the Silver Medal ahead of the winner of the bronze title, NAIF AL ZAEEM, owned by Alasalah Stud. His Excellency Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani crowned the winners.
