2nd Arab-Chinese Summit Postponed Until Further Notice Due to Regional Developments

Amman: The Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, Guo Wei, announced today the postponement of the second Arab-Chinese summit, initially scheduled for mid-June in Beijing, citing the current situation and developments in the region as the primary reasons for the delay.

According to Qatar News Agency, Guo Wei emphasized at a press conference that while Chinese-Arab relations continue to be distinguished and are witnessing development across several fields, the prevailing circumstances in the Middle East are not conducive for the summit to proceed as planned. He assured that a new date for the summit would be determined at a later time.

The first Arab-Chinese summit, which took place in December 2022 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, established a new phase of cooperation between the Arab states and the People's Republic of China, highlighting the importance and potential of this strategic partnership.
