4.3-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Several Cities in Eastern Egypt

Doha: An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck on Sunday several cities in eastern Egypt. The tremor was felt across the region, causing concern among residents but fortunately resulting in no casualties or material damage.

According to Qatar News Agency, the earthquake's epicenter was located 77.9 km from Saint Catherine, 88.5 km from El Tor in South Sinai Governorate, and 132.7 km from Suez. Egypt's National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics confirmed that the quake occurred at a depth of 26.1 km. The institute reassured citizens that while the tremor was noticeable, it did not lead to any significant impacts.
